Department Manager
Kingsport, TN
Department Manager wanted for the personal lines department of a large locally owned independent insurance agency.
The Personal Lines Manager is responsible for the production and client management of personal lines accounts.
The essential functions of this position includes soliciting, quoting and selling new Personal Lines.
Continuing to counsel and market to existing clients professionally is another essential function of the position.
Specific sales goals and responsibilities are determined during the yearly
planning process for this position. Education and/or Experience:
AS or recognized equivalent in education & exp. is required.
BS with 1-3 years of insurance related exp. is preferred.
Minimum 3 years' exp. in customer service or insurance
related field is also required. Must possess Tennessee Property & Casualty License.
Must possess Tennessee Life, Accident and Health License.
Complies with continuing education requirements for agent
licensing as well as professional designations.
Keeps informed regarding industry information, new product
information, coverages, sales skills and technology to continuously
improve knowledge and stay current. Other


Must be organized, detail oriented, able to multi-task and be
efficient with verbal and written communication skills.
Must also have the ability to work with others.
Must have a high level of problem-solving skills.
A positive, team-oriented attitude is necessary to effectively work with a large variety of personalities.
